Firefighters tackle brush fire

Fire crews put out a small brush fire this afternoon.

A fire service spokesman said: “The fire service responded with appliances from the Hamilton Station, the Port Royal Station and a total of nine firefighters.”

The incident happened in the Hillview area of Warwick at 2.55pm.

The spokesman said: “Two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus quickly extinguished the fire.

“The cause of the fire is under investigation.”
