Toilet trouble shuts National Library

The main branch of Bermuda National Library is expected to reopen tomorrow after a problem with the building’s sewage line is fixed, the head librarian said.

Joanne Brangman said the Queen Street, Hamilton branch closed late last Friday afternoon after a staff toilet on the first floor of the building backed up into the staff-only section.

She said work to tackle the problem started on Monday, and continued today.

Ms Brangman added: “We had no functioning toilets, so as soon as we get that fixed, we will be back in business.

“We should be open tomorrow at 8.30am.”
