A report was made to police after a young scooter rider was chased by people on another bike.

Police said that video footage of the incident has spread on social media.

The incident was reported to have happened when a young man was riding an auxiliary cycle on Middle Road in Paget last Sunday.

A Bermuda Police Service spokesman said: “The young man was at the time riding in an easterly direction when the second cycle, which was headed in a westerly direction, turned around and began following him.

“In the video clip the individuals on the second cycle appear to be trying to intimidate the young man and reports are they followed him until he rode into a driveway.

“They are said to have then moved on without incident.

“In his attempts to escape the individuals on the second cycle the young man had cause to ride at a high rate of speed, putting himself and other road users at risk.”
