St Regis hotel looks for 100-plus more staff

A new hotel is on the hunt for more than 100 staff after it opened its doors last month, it was revealed yesterday.

Management at the St Regis in St George’s added that it would also run a Casino Gaming Academy, starting on June 21.

Jan Vanhaelewyn, the resort’s general manager, said: “We are truly fortunate to be part of Bermuda’s tourism industry, and the responses have been extremely positive showing the increasing interest in our island as a premier sought after destination.“

He added: “Based on the significantly increased demand over the next few months, the resort is now in a fortuitous position and continues to increase its workforce, seeking the most discerning associates who are innovative, team oriented and passionate about providing exceptional service through creating bespoke experiences.”

The resort, which opened on May 22, held a career and interview fair in March.

Mr Vanhaelewyn said: “I am delighted to announce that due to the success of the hotel opening and high demand, we are once again are able to offer exciting employment opportunities to those seeking a career at St Regis.”

He added: “The entire leadership team and hosts of The St. Regis Bermuda Resort are beyond thankful for the continuous support and interest received from the local community.”
