A Tropical Storm Warning was lifted this morning as Hurricane Epsilon drifted away from the island.

As of 6am the Category 1 hurricane was about 195 miles east-northeast of Bermuda and moving northward at 7mph.

The Bermuda Weather Service’s 5.30am forecast said: “The Tropical Storm Warning has ended as Hurricane Epsilon, now to our east-northeast, will continue to move north and further away today.

“However, shower chances and strong breezes propagating from the hurricane will affect the island into early Saturday then wane going forward.

“Hazardous seas will plague our waters into the early part of the weekend then gradually settle thereafter.”
