Time to leave football to the footballers

All I can say is wow, what a performance Barcelona put on against Real Madrid.

Barcelona were simply fantastic, that was by far the best game of football I have seen in in many years. If teams can learn how to play like that the football will be back to what it is used to be.

It was fantastic to see them play one touch, two touch football in triangles and so forth, it was unbelievable.

Jose Mourinho couldn't do anything about the result, his side played his game when they go on the road, I just think Barcelona on the day were that much better than them. You have to give Barcelona credit because they attacked from the start.

There was also good news in that my West Ham United have won two games on the trot and I don't want to hear any excuses about this person wasn't playing or that person wasn't playing, we can to play and got the win over Wigan and then backed that up with a Carling Cup win over Manchester United.

Hopefully this gives us some momentum for our next match on the road against Sunderland and gets us off the bottom.

I am disappointed for England because they haven't hosted a World Cup since 1966, and I thought they had a good chance of grabbing one of these so I'm sure the people involved are disappointed and I have always said I would like to go back to England to watch a World Cup.

I watched '66 on television but going back would have been fantastic, but I don't think it would go back again in my lifetime so I will have to look at it from afar. If they are blaming the media for England not getting the tournament then what are you really doing?

If you are going to hold this against a whole country because of the media than some of the guys shouldn't be there because that is very immature.

It is a democratic society everyone says we live in, but as soon as something is printed that they don't like they are all upset about it.

People need to speak the truth and if they are cheating and so forth then they need to be dug out.

You can't have people doing these sorts of things and it is a bad message being sent to the younger generation.

I don't know what FIFA are trying to do with giving the World Cup to certain countries and they would have to explain this one, although there have been some interesting decisions to come out of them, it makes you wonder.

I'm sure all of the footballing people in those countries that applied are upset and they should be because they all have fantastic stadiums and everything else, from Spain and Portugal right to Holland and Belgium.

Football should be left to the footballers, and not to those who know nothing and just make decisions that make you scratch your head.

At the end of the day you can only have so many people on a committee, but let's get people on the committee that understand the game and what is in the best interest of the game.

We are probably one a hand few of sports that allows anyone to come and be on the board or some sort of committee.

When you look at golf, tennis, there are usually people in high positions that have played the sport previously, and it would be nice if football can get into this.

Maybe Sapp Blatter is trying to finish off his legacy in style, but he didn't have a vote on it so it's more of the other guys.

You have to give him credit, however, as he was the one who said that they would give an African country host the World Cup because they are ready and it was a huge success.

There are countries out there that can hosts the biggest tournament in the world, but when England put their bid in no one seemed interested until after and said they want it as well, and as I said I feel sorry for them because, apart from Brazil and Argentina, you won't find any nation that loves the game more then the English.
