This is the latest in an occasional series

The Wall Street Journal not too long ago reported that Donald Trump, otherwise shown as the White Germanic-looking Jesus on his untruth social site some weeks ago, is pacing the floor at night at the White House. He does so while cursing uncontrollably in deathly fear that the war has been lost. Donald? It was. And that his tsunami of lies may no longer possess the power to bend reality and even a large part of his support base to his will. Sorry Donald, but the polls confirm that too.

What is seldom acknowledged publicly as it has become normative is how the ideology of White supremacy has always been Trump’s and his followers’ operation manual. The gas that fuelled his political movement from the beginning. His cabinet and White House staff are littered with them. Names such as Stephen Miller, Pete Hegseth at the Pentagon and Secretary of State Marco Rubio stand out in this regard.

We have witnessed the rise of the same racist movements in Europe and the UK, where thousands march nowadays unashamedly to that same tune. In the UK, led by Tommy Robinson (not his real name) an avowed White nationalist, an estimated 60,000 marched earlier this year sporting the red and white English flag. The rally was entitled “Unite the Kingdom Rally”.

In as much as I can tell, much of it is rooted in unjustified grievance against the wrong enemy, who generally are Black and brown people from the global South and Muslims instead of the real authors of their growing dissatisfaction – their own elites, particularly their oligarchs ...

We also know that by unleashing that illegal war of aggression against Iran, its principal authors Bibi Netanyahu and the US neocons met none of their alleged war aims that kept changing by the week. Sometimes by the day or hour for weeks on end. None.

Doesn’t that sound like a massive strategic defeat to you?

Senator Lindsey Graham (recently deceased) let the strategic cat out of the proverbial bag the other day, like Scott Bessent, by asserting that the real strategic goal globally of America is to control at a minimum “31 per cent” of global oil reserves. Why? In order, according to him, to create a “nightmare” for China. I also believe that it is inextricably tied to the dollar maintaining its declining grip as the world’s reserve currency with the so called petro dollar playing a key role in that.

What the Grahams of the world and his unforgiving fellow neocons – such as Marc Thiessen, the Washington Post columnist — miss is that the US and the West cannot accept that it is too late to rein in China and/or destabilise it.

Thiessen’s viewpoint is particularly scary. Whatever moral clarity and ethical view of the world the Western-Anglo American elites may have had is long gone.

This means that the West is prepared to go to war against the global majority because they view the world through a zero sum lens as I have stated many times before. I refer you back to Mr Rubio at the Munich Security Conference. To interact with the world on the basis of co-operation and collaboration is anathema to them. The smash and grab is their calling card. It always has been. Trump just removed the veil.

According to British author Martin Jacques: “The Western mind always has the West at the centre of it.” Four hundred years of conditioning is hard to beat. China, another civilisational state, like Iran, is far more advanced than the West by any measure to date. Its focus has been raising the standard of living of hundreds of millions of its population over the past three decades. China like Iran is a civilisation that goes back thousands of years. They both take the strategic long view on matters of state or war.

There are two wild cards. One is that Israel cannot accept that it too has taken a major strategic defeat at the regional level. Call it the sore loser syndrome, which is now evident by its determination to push Trump back to war.

Secondly, we still do not know what the final sustainable comprehensive peace deal will look like or even if the bad faith actors in the US and Israel will produce one having spit in the eye of the memorandum of understanding that Trump himself signed.

The strategic clock, however, is working in favour of Iran but against the US. That clock is called the global economy. That fault lies squarely with America and Israel. Who needs nuclear weapons when you control the Strait of Hormuz? That Strait was open to all comers before the war of choice began on March 28, 2026.

Cheap credit and cheap energy

As a preview to the next instalment, think about the following. Bermuda’s Black political class have absolutely no clue as to what is coming. The following is also dialled in as a consequence of the damage from a war that should never have taken place, according to Douglas Macgregor, a former US military Intelligence officer.

Fundamentally, he stated, the profoundly critical damage to the global economy is that “… the era of cheap oil and cheap credit have been the keys to prosperity in the US and most of the world”. The turning point occurred with the great recession in 2008. But it is at an end with this war. Although the losers are desperately looking for a sequel — the world be damned.

That means for you too, Bermuda. He added: “We are losing cheap energy. And we will not be getting it back”. This war will force us contemplate and face that sobering fact. So goes cheap energy, so goes cheap credit.

All of this and the reaffirmation of national sovereignty and independence. There is a growing resistance movement to break away from Western tyranny and its unacknowledged imperialism. That is what Iran went to war to defend.

The majority of the world, as evidenced by polls, has affirmed that the two most popular nations now globally are China and Iran, which was once the most reviled nation on Earth, thanks to the fiction writers in Tel Aviv and at MI6.

The world has gotten the memo. No one likes a bully.
