Creative and energetic — that’s Lido’s Lucarini

Ennio Lucarini, the Lido general manager, works diligently every day seeing that each detail is just right for their group of oceanfront eateries at the Elbow Beach Hotel Sea Terrace.

“My mother’s family, from Orvieto in central Italy, had a family restaurant business so from a child I learned many aspects of the business. I feel very much at home in this line of work,” he said.

As a young man he studied in Milan at a specialised school that developed cheese and dairy products. He has worked in Italy, London, and went to Bermuda’s Fourways Inn in 1988. Later he joined the Little Venice Group and began at the Café Lido in 1992.

The moment you meet him you know that he is a thoughtful, people person and he says that he truly enjoys interacting with people and co-ordinating all the facilities - four restaurants and the new night-club, “The Deep”.

“I appreciate and value my relationships with our staff, as they are one of my overall responsibilities with training and schedules.

“As general manager I do a bit of everything from purchasing food and beverages to continuous liaison with the kitchen. There are many details to coordinate.”

Mr. Lucarini is especially proud of their new nightclub, the enchanting “Deep”, decorated with blue sectional furniture. It is a state of the art night-club facility as well as a modern, ideal meeting place for business meetings and lectures during the day. The “Deep” has a capacity for 250 people and the night-club will be in operation from 10 p.m. to 3 a.m. each evening. You can reserve your own private room at Bermuda’s hottest new night-club for those special occasions. The rich mahogany wood is a strong contrast to cool steel used throughout.

“We have a great team of knowledgeable workers who are eager to assist our patrons. We are all committed to doing our best at our trendy, modern complex. Our facilities offer a variety of different dining from casual to semi-formal and we welcome weddings and private parties,” he said.
