The new Student Fall Passes went on sale earlier this month. The pass, which is valid until December 31, 2006, is priced at $45 and can be purchased at the general bus terminal, the Public Transportation Board’s head office in Palmetto Road, Devonshire, and all post offices - with the exception of the Perot Post Office.

The term pass is valid in all zones and when purchasing a pass, students over the age of 16 are required to supply written confirmation of their intention to register for the next school term.

Alternatively, a one-day student transportation pass costs $6, a two-day transportation pass costs $10, a three-day pass costs $14 and a seven-day pass will cost you $17.50.

Children under the age of five ride for free and cash rides for children aged five to 16 are $1.

Students can ride using Student Tickets, sold in booklets for $15, but students using these tickets must be in uniform, or display a student ID card.

It is also important to remember that Student Tickets are only honoured on busses, while Student Transportation Passes are valid on both busses and ferries.
