The DeCoutos: A mission of service

When you talk to someone who is absolutely passionate about what they are doing, it shows. Paul DeCouto is such a person. His passion is infectious, which is readily apparent while walking through his new cycle shop on Serpentine Road. His entire family is present; working together to realise an impossible dream that was conceived in the mind of a precocious 12-year-old some 25 years ago. Father Earnest wanders around the stock room, diligently making sure that the company inventory is all present and accounted for. Sister Sharon sits at her computer with a stack of receipts and invoices awaiting her assiduous attention. Brother Steven scours the internet researching the cutting edge of motorcycle technology and product availability. Even the salespeople are avid motorcycle enthusiasts, with considerable experience on the local racing scene. This is truly a family affair; a family that counts every proponent of the ethos, philosophy and lifestyle of the biker as one of its own.

Steven physically lights up when describing their newest acquisition: the stunning 150cc SYM Fighter Road Bike. He excitedly describes the 4 stroke engine, the front and rear disc brakes, the digital speedometer, and the super sleek look. Then beams with pride when asserting that this majestic vehicle will be a new model to Bermuda and a Cycle Care exclusive! Mind you, Steven’s excitement over this bike is not remotely unwarranted; the machine is a thing of unbridled beauty.

There is, in fact, beauty coursing through every nook and cranny of the new Cycle Care facility. The physical plant is marvellous, and the philosophies behind everything the DeCouto family does at this one stop shop are simply sublime.

One such philosophy is that a dealership should take care of its customers from the time that a vehicle is purchased, until the time that the same vehicle is ready to be retired.

With that in mind, Cycle Care has vowed to devote its full complement of resources to the full service and care of the cycles that are sold from that shop alone. That is, once you buy a motorcycle from Cycle Care, you will go directly to the top of the service priority list.

In the past, Paul has been known as the man to see for bike repairs, period. Now, he is the owner and proprietor of his own retail cycle store, so he has to devote his legendary skills to the service and maintenance of the bikes he sells.

There is a hint of apology in his voice when he says this, but there is also a clarion call for other local motorcycle dealers to step up to the plate and provide consistent, quality service to their customers. Paul’s customers need not worry; they will be thoroughly covered.

Cycle Care is the exclusive local dealer for Daelim, SYM (SangYang Motors), and Jianshe motorcycles, parts, and accessories.

They are also the suppliers of the best helmets money can buy, and the coolest accessories you will find in a 2000 mile radius. This is a shop for motorcycle enthusiasts; people who love life on two wheels, can not resist the lure of the open road, have a hunger for speed, and salivate at the sound of a revving engine.

The DeCoutos feel your passion, and are ready to serve you.
