BUEI gets a different look!
If you are driving along Crow Lane, you will notice that the Bermuda Underwater Exploration Institute has changed hues.
The building is now a very comfortable Bermuda yellow with green shutters.
BUEI director Wendy Tucker said: "We wanted the building to look warm, friendly and inviting.
"We are ten years old this year, so we thought that it was a nice way to change the exterior.
"We are also looking at changing the roadside signs, because it is so hard to read that sign until you are right up on it.
"We have also planted some pretty flowering trees on the roadside and when they grow up, it will be all pretty."
Along with the above changes, La Coquille's staff has been moved to Tucker's Point, but another popular restaurant in the MEF Group will take its place, explained Ms Tucker.
"Harbour Front is moving in and they are renovating right now," she said.
"They are going to be doing fun things on the dock with umbrellas. They have a nice menu and they will have a bar, which will be the whole length of the restaurant, so they are making a substantial investment.
"So that will be nice and it will bring down different people."
In the BUEI foyer, visitors to the institute can now get a quick bite to eat as well.
"We will be selling sandwiches, little pizzas and a drink and an ice cream.
"So, there are lots of changes for the future."
