Long layover expected for The Somers Isle
The Somers Isle left Fernandina Beach, Florida and arrived back on the Island yesterday at 6 p.m.
The cargo ship was carrying 148 containers, including 5 refrigerated containers and loose cargo, including two pleasure boats, five trailers, a Ford vehicle and other small pieces. The ship is expected to have a long layover and will depart on Friday.
The cargo vessel, Oleande>, left the Island yesterday morning after dropping off 169 dry containers and 54 refrigerated containers.
The vessel was also carrying loose cargo including nine trailers, two forklifts, one boat on a cradle and two buses.
The Bermuda Island$> will arrive from Salem, New Jersey tomorrow evening at eight with 165 containers and 30 refrigerated containers and will depart again at 8 a.m. on Friday.
Three cruise ships arrived on the Islands ports on Monday. The Norwegian Spirit stopped over in Dockyard just for the day on Monday with 2,457 passengers on board, whiAzamara Journey <$>arrived in St.George’s carrying 739 passengers, shifted to Hamilton yesterday and will leave the Island tomorrow. The Empress of the S<$>also arrived in Hamilton at noon on Monday. The cruise ship is carrying 1,726 passengers and is due to stop over in St.George’s today before setting sail tomorrow afternoon.
Cruise ship, The Norwegian Crown, is currently docked in Hamilton and will not set sail until Friday at noon — it is carrying 1,116 passeng.
The Norwegian Majesty, staying in St.George’s is carrying 1,672 passengers and will also depart on Friday at noon.
Grandeur of theas<$> arrived in Dockyard yesterday morning and is set to leave later this afternoon, though the passenger count was unknown by press time.
The NorwegiDawn<$> will be passing through Dockyard tomorrow with 2,775 passengers on board and will leave that same afternoon.
