A Christmas success
January 22, 2002
Dear Sir,
Please allow us to again thank all who came to the PALS Memorial Christmas Tree at The Washington Mall, The Bank of Butterfield, Reid Street and BF.&M. There were over 1,600 messages of remembrance placed on the trees, all of which were very meaningful.
Thank you all for your generous donations. They will be used for patient care, as you would wish. Thanks also to all the wonderful PALS volunteers and our other thoughtful friends in the community who not only assisted with decorating the mall but were there for those who needed to be heard and comforted.
Students from Saltus, CedarBridge, Warwick Academy and The Youth Group of St. Patrick's Church also gave tremendous assistance at the Mall before and after the holidays. Thank you so much because through your efforts and enthusiasm we were able to put the tree up and take it down in record time.
A thank you also to Mr. Keevil Burgess at The Bermuda Broadcasting Station, the staff at each location and the loyal Mr. Mel Armstrong who has been there for us during the five years of PALS Memorial Trees.
We in Bermuda have our way of remembering loved ones - the trees - and this is just fine.
