Dear Sir,

For the past few years I have opened The Royal Gazette, read the entire paper and turned to the Classified Ads... Accommodations. What a sorry listing. The rents are outrageous and simply unbelievable. Most laugh but it is really not a joke. This issue needs to be addressed now. Rent commission has got to put a stop to this madness and greed.

How can Bermudians live a comfortable lifestyle while paying rents that are so awfully high? I know that most working class people can not afford these rents so what else are they suppose to do...short of crying poverty?

Please recognise that not everyone is fortunate enough to have a good paying job with great benefits.

I cannot understand the logic in placing a $1,000 plus per month on a studio apartment, nor $2,000 plus on a one bedroom nor $2,500 plus on a two bedroom.
