Dear Sir,

First of all, my congratulations on your wonderful new Internet format. It is a real pleasure to keep abreast of happenings in Bermuda via this medium.

While I was in Bermuda recently, my client, Ted Ming, gave me clippings of articles written recently by Patricia Calnan and Sarah Titterton regarding appearances Ted had made to entertain senior citizens and local businesses.

As always, we greatly appreciate The Royal Gazette's recognition of the band; however, as their agent and manager, I would like to bring your attention to the writers' errors in describing Ted as a “former Bermuda Stroller”.

Ted Ming and his band, The Bermuda Strollers, continue to perform not only on the Island, but tour several times annually in the United States as entertainment ambassadors at both private and public functions, reinforcing the name “Bermuda” at every performance. They are currently involved in recording a new CD to be released coincidentally with their upcoming tour in conjunction with Newport-Bermuda Weeks. Preceding this they will be appearing in Boston at the opening of the Masterworks Exhibition. June 8 to June 15 has been declared “Bermuda Stroller Week” in Newport, Rhode Island by the city's Mayor. The band will be appearing in concert at Central Park in New York City following Newport. Their website is extremely busy, and generates a great deal of e-mail.

I feel it is very important that the Bermudian public be aware of how very active and visible The Bermuda Strollers are, and of the dedication this legendary band has to the promotion of tourism in their beloved island - and that it is very unlikely that Ted Ming, who has been entertaining since the age of ten, will ever be a former Bermuda Stroller!

Thank you in advance for correcting this misunderstanding.
