Visitor's View: Shocked by high prices

Last week I decided that I wanted to have a week's Bermuda break in April, to stay in my favourite small hotel and sketch the lovely views and flowers.A call to Air Canada gave me a seniors' price of C$723 for Toronto-Bermuda-Toronto! This increase is almost double what I used to pay a few years ago. The Hotel would be CA$360 a day for a "special" rate since I am a frequent guest there; e.g. a week last November! Bermuda and Air Canada have shot themselves in the foot!

Dear Sir,

Last week I decided that I wanted to have a week's Bermuda break in April, to stay in my favourite small hotel and sketch the lovely views and flowers.

A call to Air Canada gave me a seniors' price of C$723 for Toronto-Bermuda-Toronto! This increase is almost double what I used to pay a few years ago. The Hotel would be CA$360 a day for a "special" rate since I am a frequent guest there; e.g. a week last November! Bermuda and Air Canada have shot themselves in the foot!

For C$3,000, I can have a week in Europe, a fine holiday in any tourist area of the USA, take myself and a friend to a Club Med warm holiday spot. Should not your government speak about this outrageous over-pricing by the airlines to the only direct server to Bermuda from the largest and most prosperous area of Canada? You are being choked of average visitors by a blatantly greedy airline. I am very sad to see this turn of events.
