Visitors' Views: Thanks, good Samaritan

My wife and I have just returned from a vacation to your wonderful Island. We are sure you have heard it all before: the beautiful beaches and scenery; gorgeous architecture; fascinating history; and most of all, your polite, friendly people. I want to add one other exceptional highlight.

Dear Sir,

My wife and I have just returned from a vacation to your wonderful Island. We are sure you have heard it all before: the beautiful beaches and scenery; gorgeous architecture; fascinating history; and most of all, your polite, friendly people. I want to add one other exceptional highlight.

Last Thursday, our final day before cruising back to America, we visited John Smith's Bay for one last swim. Whilst waiting at the bus stop along with another couple of 'cruisers' and two local people, we noticed the lack of buses. After some discussion it was suggested by the local people that there may be a bus strike. (Apparently this had happened, on one occasion, the previous week).

As we waited for the possibility of a passing taxi, one of these locals left, got his car, and returned to the bus stop and drove us back to the cruise ship. We did not get his name, although we do know he has a granddaughter studying at the University of Virginia. We just want to send our heartfelt gratitude to this Good Samaritan ? Sir, your kindness will always be appreciated and never forgotten.

Dear Sir,

We are tourists from Germany visiting here for three weeks.

As we were not allowed to drive a car, we were obliged to take the buses for our trips all around the Island.

Bermuda is not only a beautiful Island, but has also the friendliest, kindliest bus drivers. They helped us to find the right bus stop for getting off or changing the line they returned our greetings. It was always a pleasure getting on a bus.

Once again thank you very much to all the bus drivers making our trip to Bermuda easier.
