You don't have to live here

In reply to Bash, Bash, Bash today, well Bash, Bash, Bash, if you're an expat and have a problem with Bermudians expressing any problems they have with the guest workers in our country I think you need to understand this: You are a guest in our country and are blessed to be here as we are providing an opportunity for you that you can not get at home (if you could you would be there). As a guest in someone's home you always have the choice to leave, but it is always rude to complain about someone in their home.

Dear Sir,

In reply to Bash, Bash, Bash today, well Bash, Bash, Bash, if you're an expat and have a problem with Bermudians expressing any problems they have with the guest workers in our country I think you need to understand this: You are a guest in our country and are blessed to be here as we are providing an opportunity for you that you can not get at home (if you could you would be there). As a guest in someone's home you always have the choice to leave, but it is always rude to complain about someone in their home.

These concerns are real to the people that express them. If you're Bermudian (I don't think so) the rent and SARS issues you raised are valid. However, they would be less of an issue with less guest workers. Many of the jobs you see in the paper are only contract renewals and so the guest worker already here for the last two, four, six years can stay.

Isn't part of the agreement that these guest workers pass on their skills to locals? How can it take two, four, six-plus years to pass on some of these skills?

BASHING BASH, BASH, BASH
