Do join in on the fun... And it's for charity!

Today at noon, Harvard University's finest close-harmony groups will be singing live at the Anglican Cathedral, and you are invited. The Harvard Krokodiloes, the Harvard Din and Tonics and the Radcliffe Pitches will perform in aid of the Bermuda-registered charity, Habitat for Humanity.

The free concert is today, Tuesday, March 25, from 12 noon to 1 p.m. (Although the concert is free, donations to Habitat Bermuda are very welcome and will be matched by the Slayton Family Foundation.)

Bermuda is indeed fortunate to experience the wonderful vocal talents of these venerable Harvard troupes. In addition to the free concert, the groups will also be performing at various other venues around the island.

A complete schedule of performances is available on the American Consulate's website at http://hamilton.usconsulate.gov.

Today's free concert has been arranged in an open-house format and is scheduled for the lunch hour – from noon to 1 p.m. – to enable people to drop in on their lunch break.

Come for one song or come for the whole show – everyone is welcome. No reservations or tickets are required. But if you enjoy the performance, you may wish to make a donation to Bermuda's own Habitat for Humanity on your way out.

The Kroks, the Dins and the Pitches are happy to be part of the great charitable tradition that characterises Bermuda.

As a Harvard alum, it is especially poignant for me to welcome the Harvard glee clubs to Bermuda. As the US Consul General to Bermuda, I am proud that these young goodwill ambassadors from the United States chose to incorporate a benefit performance into their busy schedule.

We are on our way to making this concert an annual tradition. Please join in the fun, at the venues where the groups will be singing all this week – and of course at the Anglican Cathedral today in support of Habitat for Humanity Bermuda.

I encourage you to take your whole family and enjoy a fun-filled performance. You will be glad you made seeing the Harvard singers a priority. I look forward to seeing you there!
