Fire truck was in <I>Oleander</I> cargo
BCL Cargo vessel Oleander made its way back to the Island over the weekend from Port Elizabeth, New Jersey.
It returned with 134 dry containers and 42 refrigerated ones in addition to bringing one mafi, three road trailers, five cars, two boats on trailers, one fire truck, two trucks, one payloader and one utility trailer.
She sailed from Bermuda yesterday.
Late Saturday morning cruise ship Azamara Journey sailed into the Island for its first call to Bermuda this year with 629 passengers. It arrived from Grand Turk, Turks and Caicos.
She sailed out at 4 p.m. later that day, headed for Punta Delgada, Azores.
Also last Saturday, car carrier Kohjin brought 104 cars and trucks into the Island after arriving at 9.12 a.m. She later sailed out at 1 p.m.
On Sunday, LPG carrier Oder Gas pulled into the Island at 9.12 a.m. before turning around at 7.30 p.m.
Also on Sunday, at 3.50 p.m., cruise ship Constellation visited the Island with 1,902 passengers. It sailed out at 2 p.m. on Monday.
It had arrived from Fort Lauderdale, Florida. After Bermuda, it was bound for Cork, Ireland.
Motor yacht Sirona III visited our shores at 9.30 a.m. on Monday to take on fuel, after arriving from Miami, Florida. It was bound for Gibraltar.
Meanwhile, Bermuda Islander is expected to arrive tomorrow with 145 containers, including 21 refrigerated ones and two flat-bed trailers.
She will sail out at 8 a.m. on Friday.
Navigator of The Seas arrived at King's Wharf, Dockyard on Monday at 5 p.m. and departed the Island yesterday at 4 p.m.
Brilliance of The Seas is expected to berth on the Island today at 4 p.m., also at King's Wharf, before sailing out at 4 p.m. tomorrow.
There were no passenger counts available for both these ships.
