The newly-elected Corporation of St. George's will meet for the first time today at the Town Hall.

The final vacancy on the Corporation was filled at a by-election on February 16 when Steven Hollis was returned as a Common Councillor after failing to win an Alderman's seat.

The by-election was held because there were initially only four candidates for the five Common Councillor posts.

Mr. Hollis was elected with 89 votes, defeating runner-up Delcina Bean-Burrrows by 12 votes. Mrs. Bean- Burrows was running for the Corporation for the first time.

The new Corporation is:

Edward Benevides J.P. Alderman

Beau L.G. Evans Alderman

Jill Raine Common Councillor

Eugene Minors Common Councillor
