ROCKY Warwick Remove this eyesore April 19, 2000 Dear Sir, As a long time guest at The Reefs, I wish to express my concern over the lack of government oversight of the island's precious property.

Some 20 years ago an entrepreneur initiated a development west of and adjacent to The Reef's property, cutting away a serious amount of cliff and initiating construction.

For some reason the enterprise ceased and cliff damage and building foundations were left to the elements.

Fortunately, nature over time obscured this eyesore with a thick growth of vegetation.

Now we are back to "square one''. A clearing away of all this covering growth was initiated while we were here at New Years.

The decimation of this covering vegetation has now been completed, but the original partial construction has been as it has existed for the last 20 years or so -- but in a deteriorated state.

This is a horrible blight and one has to wonder why responsible individuals in the Bermuda Government allow this to exist.

The individual(s) involved in this project should be brought to task to either "Fish or Cut Bait''. Either construct something acceptable to Bermuda standards or eradicate the eye sore in an acceptable fashion.
