As repeat visitors to Bermuda, we are always amazed at the warmth and hospitality of Bermudians. We are usually here for Cup Match holiday and have always experienced a friendliness from all we encounter. From the second we step off the plane to our last few minutes of sunshine at the airport, we are relaxed and at ease.

This year two young men from Cambridge Beaches -- Mr. Dean and Mr. Shawn Wade gave us the thrill of introducing us to Clevie Wade, their cousin. We have enjoyed watching Clevie at Cup Match many times, but to meet him in person was magnificent! He is a gentleman, and demonstrates all the best of Bermuda. He took time away from his holiday to meet with his biggest fans of Bermuda.

This was certainly beyond our wildest expectations and far beyond what American sports champions would do.

It would have been wonderful to watch Clevie play to complete 20 years at Cup Match -- but that was not to be. Fortunately he is gracious and dedicated to the sport and he has bolstered our spirits to return to Cup Match.
