Praise for taxi driver May 3, 1999 Dear Sir, As I wind up a lovely week in Bermuda, I would like to tell you of a very special incident. I was driving in the taxi of "Bishop'' Seaman on Wednesday, April 28 when I realised I had forgotten my wallet. Mr. Seaman pulled $10 out of his pocket and gave it to me so I could go to the Aquarium! I asked how I could get it back to him -- he said it was a gift! I just thought that was a lovely story. Mr. Seaman has been repaid.

Only in Bermuda could something like this happen. Keep up the good work.

JOAN S. MICOU Michigan, USA Crash victim got help May 6, 1999 Dear Sir, I crashed my scooter in the center of Middle Road on Monday afternoon -- I'm sore but I'll be fine.

I wanted to thank the drivers on the road who were paying attention to what they were doing -- no-one hit me lying in the street. I'd also like to thank the gentleman who picked up my bike, moved it to the sidewalk, and offered a few kind words.

Thanks, too, for the school children (burgundy uniforms) who inquired if I was OK. One young man asked more than once and asked if I needed a band aid.

Most of all, thanks to all Bermudians for sharing your Island with us...we've had a great time and we will be back.
