Thank you, Ronald May 18, 2001

My wife and I have been coming to Bermuda for over 40 years, the last 16 at the St. George's Club. We have rode the bikes every year exploring the Island from one end to the other.

On Tuesday, May 15, we were on our way to Gibbs Hill Lighthouse for breakfast when our bike quit opposite the Tynes Bay Incinerator on Palmetto Road. Within a minute, a truck stopped and offered to help. The driver's name was Ronald Tear, a foreman for Works and Engineering. He called the bike people, told them to bring another bike and obtained a chair for my wife to sit in. He returned about 20 to 25 minutes later with some bottled water just about the time a new bike arrived.

This is one of the reasons we love Bermuda so much. All of the people are gracious, kind and understanding.

Thank you again, Ronald Tear.
