An article in Wednesday's paper said XL Insurance was involved in a $30,000 donation to Victor Scott Primary. The donation was made by a separate entity, the XL Foundation. A caption attached to the article also misidentified XL Foundation member Patrick Tannock as XL president. The Royal Gazette apologises for the errors.

A story in last Friday's newspaper on trends in the Island's tourism industry, put on by RICS, stated that forum panellist David Dodwell, owner of The Reefs and 9 Beaches said the collapse of the financial market resulted in a world wide waste of tourism. Mr. Dodwell actually compared the global tourism industry to the "wild, wild west", and said it was littered with bankruptcies and foreclosures. The 'wild, wild, west' comment did not relate to Bermuda as previously reported, but was referring to the world of tourism.
