FOR THE RECORD

The Royal Gazette mistakenly identified Progressive Labour Party MP Lovitta Foggo as Attorney General in Saturday's House of Assembly article. She is not, she is the Government Whip.

During the debate on gaming Ms Foggo said she was mindful of a person's right as an individual to gamble but even more mindful that she was voted in to look out for the best interests of Bermuda going forward.

"On the floor of the House I am the voice for my constituents and I would be speaking against them if I was to say I was in support of gambling, she said. "I had an overwhelming outcry from my constituents saying with all that is going on in Bermuda today we are not able to accept gambling and having researched this issue and responding responsibly if I had to vote it would be no".
