•A story in Saturday's Weekender section incorrectly stated that Robert Doughty had predeceased the late Eugene Doughty. Robert Doughty is alive and well and living in Oregon.

•Due to a technical problem, a paragraph in a letter from "RKS" on the Bayou Classic that appeared in the Royal Gazette on July 28 had several words missing. The paragraph should have read: "For Mr. Dunkley to make a blatant statement that the Bayou Classic only attracts semi-famous television personalities, rappers and sportsmen is a misleading statement as well as a degrading comment and an insult to all the alumni of these two Universities.Let's set the record straight, this Bayou Classic is more than just a football game, which is played on the first Saturday after Thanksgiving. The football game which is televised nationally as well as internationally has mainstream television networks competing for the exclusive rights to televise. The game is only the climax to the activities.
