FOR THE RECORD

A report in the July 11 edition of The Royal Gazette detailed how Regiment soldier Jason Harrell was convicted at Magistrates' Court of assaulting a customer when he was working as a doorman at Splash nightclub.

We reported his defence lawyer Llewellyn Peniston as telling the Magistrate that Harrell is a former Aide de Camp to the Governor.

A Regiment spokesperson has since pointed out that Harrell, a Colour Sergeant, is a former diplomatic driver to the Governor, not an Aide De Camp.

Mr. Peniston agrees that this is what he intended to convey to the court, and The Royal Gazette is happy to clarify the situation.
