Never lose your magic

My letter to the people of Bermuda.

Never lose the magic that you have...65,000 people who make Bermuda a MUST every year for my family and many others!

You are so unique and special, a place, a destination like no other.

I read with sadness the street crime and reach out to you, PLP and UBP, establish sister and brother links with Boston, DC, Charlotte and New York, and London too.

Let your youth reach out and touch those of us who will let them explore options.

To my US friends, open our internships to these young people...NOW.

Bermuda is a special place and the moral obligation is a two-way street, From Wall Street and K Street we must build the bridges and the foundation of real alternatives for these young people.

Bermuda has been close to my family since 1968,when we visited the Breakers Beach Club. Years later we have had the pleasure of enjoying the bountiful and sincere hospitality of scores of Bermudians as well as guest workers.

Bermuda, you can stand proud and know that I am but one person who remembers all that is so special on Bermuda. From the artistry of Twin Sisters to Ms Webb, to JJ at the doors of Tucker's Point, to your cadre of cab drivers like Mr. Simmons and great hosts like the Dodwell family, you are unique and truly special!

We relish every moment when we are privileged to be on your soil.

Please...never lose the magic that makes you so special!!!!

THE LONG FAMILY
