Not a good impressionJuly 9, 2010Dear Sir,

Not a good impression

July 9, 2010

Dear Sir,

In November I will be visiting Bermuda, my favourite place in the world, for the 42nd time. Since I constantly promote Bermuda to my friends, two of them decided that they would come with us. I gave my friend the exact address of Salt Kettle House (I have been staying there since 1988) which appears on its post card Paget, PG 01 Bermuda to send a deposit. Two months later the envelope was returned for not having the correct street address. Is someone kidding me? Must be a joke, right? This is not a good first impression of Bermuda to my friends.

Wonderful ferry staff

June 30, 2010.

This was sent to the Department of Marine and Ports and copied to The Royal Gazette.

Dear Sir,

I am writing to inform you of my experience on your ferry service when I was visiting your beautiful Island of Bermuda. I had taken the ferry from Kings Wharf to Hamilton, I believe it was on June 22, 2010 (I had actually taken the ferry the three days I was docked in Bermuda) and from the dock had walked up to the bus stop to go to Elbow Beach. As I arrived at the bus stop I realised I had lost my pocketbook (which contained my licence, passport, credit card, debit card and security pass to board my ship. It was horrifying and I ran back to the ferry, which had already left, so I went into the office and thank God for your wonderful employees, one of them had turned it in, your staff at the office were so wonderful and I tried to leave a tip in appreciation for the young man that turned it in but they told me it was not allowed.

I just thought you should know how much this meant to me and I know people probably only take the time to send complaints to you so I wanted to let you know what a difference your staff made for the rest of my vacation. The staff I interacted with and were responsible for the safe return of my pocketbook were Joey, Andre and Aaron. I can't wait to come back to your beautiful Island of Bermuda!
