Looking forward to returning

Dear Sir,

After having the blessing of returning to your beautiful country again this week, we feel the need to put our feelings in to words. We love you! Your glorious manners; the respectful way you say good morning and good afternoon to everyone; your kind, but strict, bus drivers; your delightful schoolchildren who pop out of their bus seats the instant they see an adult standing; the way you actually stop and let pedestrians cross the road in cross walks; the beautiful women of Bermuda who can manage wearing high heels and skirts on a moped; the gentlemen of Bermuda who hold doors open for women; the warmth you show to visitors; the people who see obvious tourists looking lost and ask "can I help you find something?"

The hardworking people who tend to the manicured parks; the shopkeepers, the dock workers; the bar tenders; the tour operators; the business people; the civil servants who manage to have an art collection in a City Hall! We feel what Johnny Barnes says to you every day. Thank you for welcoming us in to your world. We look forward to the day we return! Meanwhile, we going to incorporate a little bit of "Bermuda manners" here. Can't wait to say Good Morning to our bus driver on Monday!
