Crime is out of control

Dear Sir,

What does Superintendent Daniels mean when he says there is nothing to indicate that the violence won't spiral out of control? It is out of control! Reading The Royal Gazette daily is like reading the newspaper from the OK Corral.

We've been coming to Bermuda for the past 26 years and have a lot of good friends on the Island. Bermuda is like another home for us a part-time home that we love. For the first time in over a quarter of a century we won't be there this year.

Superintendent Daniels, I don't know what your definition of control is, but it is apparently very different than mine.

Downward spiral

April 6, 2010

Dear Sir,

Bermuda's Government certainly has proven to be consistent. The shootings and violence which occurred during our Christmas visit "welcomed" us during our Easter visit as well. I do wonder why Minister Burch is being so pugnacious re: whom he "invites" to his meeting on international business. Given the continuation of the current social climate, international business will soon be nothing more than a fond remembrance, with tourism soon to follow.
