Dear Sir,
After ingesting our new Premier’s grim news as to how near we came to financial default and having but recently attended lectures by David Saul and Sir John Swan, whose long time grasp of political prudence and economic common sense so impressed as to resonate, and being as both are two of our most successful Premiers, I left with the conviction that somehow we must gain council from these two now ageing men, yet whose brains and perceptions are as yet every bit a match for our current leaders. Our new Governor would be well served if he were to co-opt to his private counsel our ‘wide awake David’, augmented by the strategies of our savvy and perceptive Sir John in this time of need.
