The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange Index gained 1.69 points yesterday to close at 4,430.06.

On a quiet day of trading BF&M made the only advance as it rose 15 cents to close at $18.75 on volume of 1,000 shares.

The only other activity on the Exchange saw Butterfield Bank trade in 1,000 shares to close unchanged at $57.

The total value of the shares bought and sold on the BSX yesterday was $76,250.00 and the overall volume of shares was 2,000 shares.
