Bermuda-based Seadrill has secured a $66-million contract to drill six oil wells in Vietnam.

The company announced yesterday it had a letter of award with Vietsovpetro for the assignment with the jack-up drilling rig West Larissa.

The assignment has an estimated duration of 360 days. Start-up of operations is scheduled in direct continuation of the rig’s current commitments. West Larissa is currently operating off Indonesia.
