PartnerRe US rings changes

Bermuda-based PartnerRe Ltd. yesterday announced a number of management changes in the group’s US and world-wide catastrophe reinsurance underwriting operations.

Robin Williams, executive vice-president and chief underwriting officer of PartnerRe US, has advised the Company of her decision to retire in 2008.

Effective July 2007, Tad Walker will succeed Ms Williams as executive vice-president and chief underwriting officer of PartnerRe US, reporting directly to Scott Moore, president and CEO of PartnerRe US.

Mr. Walker is currently head of PartnerRe’s catastrophe business unit. Ms Williams will remain with the company until the end of 2008 and will work closely with Mr. Walker on the transition, a statement on PRNewswire said yesterday.

Mr. Walker has led the world-wide catastrophe underwriting operations and has been a member of the executive management team for PartnerRe Global since 2002, when he joined the company.

Also effective July 2007, Ted Dziurman, currently responsible for corporate development for PartnerRe Global, will assume the role of head of catastrophe and will report directly to Bruno Meyenhofer, CEO PartnerRe Global.

Mr. Dziurman, who has broad executive and leadership experience from the insurance and reinsurance industry, joined PartnerRe in 2004. Since that time, he has supported the executive and senior management in several strategic initiatives.
