Catlin names group leaders in London unit
Bermuda-based Catlin Group, the biggest insurer on the Lloyd’s of London market, has made two high-level appointments within its London operation.
The international specialty insurer and reinsurer has made Chris King and Matthew Newman business group leaders for its London underwriting operations.
The war and political risk business group, which includes the credit, terrorism, crisis management and political risk classes of business, will be lead by Mr. King.
He was most recently senior underwriter for the company in London, having joined in 1998 as an underwriting assistant and being promoted to class underwriter for the war and political risk account in 2003.
Mr. Newman, who was deputy leader of the casualty business group steps up to head the unit, which includes the general liability, marine liability, medical malpractice and the US professional liability/errors and omissions business classes.
