Trio hit year high

Three stocks hit their one-year high to send the Royal Gazette / Bermuda Stock Exchange soaring 60.22 points (1.18 percent) to 5,174.54.

The biggest mover was LOM Holdings as it improved by 25 cents (7.7 percent) to close at $3.50 after 18,000 shares were traded.LOM announced a strong increase in profits on Monday.

Also in the banking and financial sector Butterfield Bank hit its 52-week high as its shares improved 75 cents (1.3 percent) to $60 with 2,517 changing hands.

Argus Group shares increased in value by 50 cents (3.2 percent) to close at $16 with 1,200 shares exchanged.

There was also trading of 2,362 shares in KeyTech, without affecting the closing price of $15.55. Nor was there any change in the price of BF&M shares despite 75 being traded at $19.

The total number of shares that changed hands on the exchange was 24,154, representing a value of $268,996.35.
