BSX ends week up

The Royal Gazette / Bermuda Stock Exchange ended the week with a 13.91 point (0.27 percent) rise to close at 5,154.6.

Shares of Butterfield Bank returned to their 52-week high of $60 after improving 25 cents (0.4 percent) on the strength of 22,308 being traded.

There was also a return to a year-high value for LOM Holdings' shares, which went up five cents (1.4 percent) to $3.50 after 1,900 were exchanged.

The only other stock traded was Bermuda Press (Holdings), with 5,020 shares changing hands but without affecting the closing price of $15.25.

The total number of shares traded was 29,228, representing a value of $1,421,685.
