More than $1.3 million of Butterfield Bank shares traded yesterday, helping to boost The Royal Gazette / Bermuda Stock Exchange.

The Bank was the only issue to trade, as 22,339 shares were exchanged, and Butterfield's share price rose 25 cents (0.4 percent) to close at $59.75.

The Index rose 13.32 points (0.26 percent) to end the day on 5,154.60. Turnover totalled $1,304,276.
