Shares of Butterfield Bank and Argus Group improved and helped the Royal Gazette / Bermuda Stock Exchange finish 12.39 points (0.24 percent) higher at 5,163.40.

Butterfield Bank stock was 20 cents (0.3 percent) higher at $60.20 after 375 shares were traded.

Argus Group shares improved five cents (0.3 percent) to $15.05 after 4,400 were exchanged.

The total volume of shares traded on the Index was 4,775 representing a value of $88,750.
