Bank of Bermuda has hired Guillermo Konecny as the new head of HSBC Investments Bermuda (ISBM).

In this role, Mr. Konecny will be responsible for assets under management in excess of $13 billion and developing and implementing the investment business strategy for Bank of Bermuda.

Mr. Konecny brings with him more than 17 years of investment management experience. Having joined the HSBC Group in 1989, Mr. Konecny joins Bank of Bermuda from HSBC Investments (USA) in New York, where he served as chief investment officer and managing director of Multimanager Americas.

Previous to his position in New York, Mr. Konecny was responsible for the HSBC Multimanager business in the UK, Middle East and the Channel Islands.

Prior to that, Mr. Konecny was Head of Asset Management for HSBC Argentina. He holds a Public Accountant's degree and an Executive MBA from Buenos Aires University and is also a Chartered Financial Analyst charter holder.
