BSX drops 20 points

Just over half a million dollars worth of stocks were traded on the Royal Gazette / Bermuda Stock Exchange last week, with the index ending 20.692 points (0.4 percent) lower at 5,142.71.

The biggest gainer was Bermuda Commercial Bank (weighted) shares which added 10 cents (6.45 percent) after 1,000 were traded to close at $6.50.

The bank's non-weighted shares lost 25 cents (2.56 percent) to end at $9.50 for the week.

Butterfield Bank shares rose five cents (0.8 percent) to $60.25, while BF&M dropped $1.20 (6.33 percent) to $17.75 and Belco slipped 30 cents (1.26 percent) to $23.80.

the total volume of shares traded for the week was 20,046, valued at $526,775.95.
