Bermuda-based Ironshore Inc. has announced that Mike Mitrovic has joined its professional liability facility IronPro as President, IronPro Claims. Mitrovic teams with IronPro president Greg Flood to lead the growth and development of this newly created US insurance entity.

Mitrovic, whose career spans over 30 years in professional liability claims, has dedicated more than 22 of those years holding various leadership positions within American International Group (AIG).

Most recently, he served as president of Worldwide Financial Lines Claims, as well as vice-president of claims at the parent company.

Notably, Mr. Mitrovic also co-founded Global Specialty Risk, a D&O insurance platform launched in 2000 in partnership with Mr. Flood, and served as its president and chief operating officer.

IronPro, based in New York, was launched last month by Ironshore to provide professional liability insurance, with an initial focus on directors and officers liability programmes.
