Bermuda Press (Holdings) rose 25 cents (1.6 percent) to $15.50, but that did not prevent the Royal Gazette / Bermuda Stock Exchange from dipping 12.70 points.

The 0.25 percent fall in the Index saw it close at 5,148.17.

The changing hands of 12,674 shares in Bermuda Press stock was not the biggest trading. Shares of Butterfield Bank fell 25 cents (0.4 percent) to $60 after 12,817 switched hands.

Other activity elsewhere included 200 shares of Argus Group being exchanged without altering the closing price of $15.

The total volume of shares traded was 25,691, representing a value of $973,409.25.
