BF&M down, Argus up

A small movement of insurance sector shares left the Royal Gazette / Bermuda Stock Exchange marginally lower at 5,146.89 points after losing 1.288 (0.03 percent) on the day.

Shares of BF&M lost 75 cents (3.9 percent) after 2,000 were traded to close at $18.50. There was an upward movement for Argus Group stock as shares improved 25 cents (1.67 percent) to $15.25 after 16,900 were exchanged.

Butterfield Bank stock was active with 53,213 traded, as was Bermuda Commercial Bank (1,100 traded), and Bermuda Press (Holdings) with 3,000 traded. There was no chance to the closing prices of any of those stocks.

The total volume of shares traded on the index was 76,213, worth $3,540,380.
