Bermuda Microsystems improves partnerships, certifications and its enterprise services team

Bermuda Microsystems has been certified a GOLD Partner with Microsoft - the highest accolade a company can attain within Microsoft's partner programme.

Bob Mellor, Technology Consulting Manager also took the opportunity to announce further key partnerships with RSA and Oracle, that will further propel Bermuda Microsystems into the enterprise discipline of Information Technology.

"The GOLD certification from Microsoft represents clear evidence that Bermuda Microsystems has established its credentials as a key Enterprise IT provider," said Mr. Mellor. "I also want to take the opportunity to announce two new partnerships with key world-leading IT organisations; Oracle and RSA."

Bermuda Microsystems has provided IT products and services to corporations in Bermuda for over thirteen years. This announcement signals a change in focus to bring Enterprise IT Service provision to the front of the operation.

President Philip Cooper, commented: "Our Partner portfolio is now the best on the island. We have Sun Microsystems, with their clear stability and rock-solid performance amongst some of the most prestigious blue-chip companies; Dell, whose Enterprise business continues to grow double digit; EMC, the undoubted world leader in Information Management; and now we have RSA, the Enterprise Security specialist - a division of EMC, and Oracle, the world's largest Enterprise software company.

"If you add those to the lesser-known partnerships we have, and our on-island partners, we have a rock-solid alliance that allows us to offer pretty much anything and everything an Enterprise could need: It is a powerful position for us".

The pernterships the company is now involved also includes blue-chip Drivesavers, Symantec, Altiris, and on-island partners Bermuda Technologies, The Omni-Group and OCT.

Mr. Mellor also announced new staff to the consulting team and the formation of Bermuda's first Enterprise Services Team - which will be a joined-up team of account managers, pre-sales technical consultants, enterprise hardware engineers, it consultants and incident managers.

Forming the ten-strong Enterprise Services Team are: Mick Canning (Enterprise consultant/technical manager); Damika Tucker (VP, sales); Bob Mellor (manager, Technology Consulting); Matthew Coene (principal IT consultant); Andy Armstrong (principal IT consultant); Lindsey Anderson (IT consultant); Alan Sadler (principal IT engineer); Brian Perry (IT engineer); Yasmin MacLean (principal support executive); and Richard Pully (IT engineer).
