Nearly $1.6 million worth of shares traded on Bermuda Stock Exchange (BSX) last week.
Only one company — Bermuda Commercial Bank Ltd. — saw its share price rise. And that was a substantial jump as the Bank gained $2 (21.05 percent) to $11.50, as 2,000 shares changed hands.
Insurer Argus Group Holdings generated the highest trading volume over the five days, as 28,113 shares sold. Its share price dropped 25 cents (1.64 percent) to end Friday on $15.
The highest turnover belonged to Butterfield Bank, which fell back 25 cents (0.41 percent) on the trading of 17,137 shares. The Bank ended the week on $60 — 50 cents below its 52-week trading high.
LOM Holdings Ltd. remained unchanged at $3.75 after 5,000 shares traded.
Belco Holdings Ltd., which announced increased sales of gas, electricity and appliances for the second quarter on Friday, nevertheless dipped 50 cents (2.17 percent) to close the week at $22.50, as 4,400 shares traded.
The Royal Gazette / BSX Index fell 15.81 points (0.31 percent) for the week to close on 5,137.77. Volume was 56,670 shares and turnover totalled $1,591,710.50.
The BSX Insurance Index enjoyed five consecutive days of gains to end the week on 1,328.64, up by 4.50 points (0.34 percent).
