Conyers Dill & Pearman yesterday announced that Bermudians Marcia Spencer and Joyce McGuinness had both been promoted to the newly created position of assistant manager in Codan Services, an affiliate of the offshore law firm.

In a statement, the firm said the appointments were part of the firm's continued drive to nurture and develop local talent and provide a clear roadmap to attaining positions within the higher echelons of the firm.

CD&P chief executive officer Sarah Farrington said: "The appointment of Joyce and Marcia to these new positions recognises their huge contribution to the firm as Codan administrators and demonstrates the level of expertise they have acquired."

Ms Spencer has been with Codan Services as a corporate administrator since the fall of 2004. She previously worked for the Bank of Bermuda and is an associate of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators.

Ms McGuinness has worked as a corporate administrator with Codan Services for more than 20 years. She has been responsible for a diverse portfolio of companies for some of the firm's larger clients. Ms McGuinness is currently working on her ICSA designation.

Codan Services is a provider of corporate secretarial services in Bermuda.
